AVHN ČR brings together legal entities and natural persons that manufacture musical instruments, their components, and their accessories. The Association aims to protect, support, and achieve the common interests of its members in terms of economic and business plans, including technical and professional objectives. The association fosters a sense of shared purpose and general awareness of the field’s role in culture. It also represents and defends the common interests of its members against state bodies and authorities, foreign associations, and organizations. As a member of CAFIM – Confederation of the European Music Industries, the Association supports international cooperation within the European Union.
The Czech Union of Musical Instrument Makers was founded on the 2 of December 1998 in Hradec Králové. Not long after, the Ministry of Interior registered the Union on the 1 of February 1999 ref. VS/1-1/38888/99R.
The name was changed to the Association of Musical Instrument Makers of the Czech Republic on the 20th of May 2004.
